Tropes: Friends to lovers, found family, ace/demi spectrum romance, protector hero, first love, bullying, size difference, hurt/comfort, dark themes with a hopeful core.
This book turned out to be unexpected for me. It was really moving, kinda heavy but also stunning. Hilary and Trenton are the MMCs. During their senior year of high school, they meet and begin a friendship that develops into a romance.
I truly liked this book a lot. I highly recommend it. While reading this, my feelings were all over the map. The bond between Hilary and Trenton was incredibly intense and beautiful. I suggest reading the epilogue continuation titled The Ogre Comes Home.
This is meant for readers who enjoy an emotional love story.
