Realm of Dreams & Shadows pulled me in almost immediately. Between the dangerous dream magic, mysterious realms, dragons, and all the secrets surrounding Cora’s family, there was always something new making me question what was really going on.
I really enjoyed following Cora as she started college while trying to uncover the truth about the nightmares that have followed the women in her family. I also loved her friendship with Tia. She brought so much humor and heart to the story and quickly became one of my favorite characters.
And then there are Chase and Adric! Chase is protective but full of secrets, while Adric is dangerous, charming, and exactly the kind of morally gray character I cannot resist. They both made Cora’s situation even more complicated, and I was completely here for it.
The twists kept me guessing, and that ending honestly surprised me. I finished the book with so many questions and immediately wanted to continue the series. This was an easy five star read for me!
If you enjoy dark fantasy, dream magic, dragons, powerful heroines, morally gray men, and complicated romance, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.
