I was still riding the happy resolution from the previous book with that small shadow tucked in a corner. Here? I’m bracing myself for what’s to come.
The story around the goddess’ other half is over, and the threat around Vera's life at least is over, but now there is another threat: Nikolai's curse is breaking, and the one responsible for it is back and close.
I was reading the book, sitting on the edge of my seat begging for the MMC to be alright. The previous four episodes were a fight for Vera mostly; I can tell that this book will be about Nikolai.
And I know I will be worried and anxious until the end of the season is over because... Please... Don’t hurt Nikolai!
I am so invested in those characters, it’s not even funny. The author did that, make me care so much about those two...You know the worst part? Now I have to wait for the next episode without knowing what will happen, only having to trust the author for an HEA.
I’m going to drown my sorrows in candies.
