Book: The Baron and his Bride by Ashley J. Vinson

Rating: 2.5/5

Unfortunately, this wasn't the right read for me. While the premise initially caught my attention, I struggled to connect with the writing and narrative execution.

I did feel that the story had potential, and the premise initially sparked my curiosity. There were elements of the world and the overall concept that I would have liked to explore further. Unfortunately, the execution didn't quite live up to that initial promise for me, and I ultimately struggled to connect with the narrative.

I found the prose frequently disjointed, with transitions between descriptions, actions and internal dialogue that often felt abrupt. The overall storytelling lacked the natural flow and cohesion I look for in a novel, making it difficult to become immersed in the world and invested in the characters.

There were also some grammatical inconsistencies and continuity issues that further affected my reading experience.

Ultimately, I decided not to continue beyond 27%. I appreciate the opportunity to read and review this title, but unfortunately, it wasn't for me.
