Direbound was a wild ride from start to finish. Fast-paced, brutal, and addictive, this book had me flipping pages way too late into the night. The writing is incredibly readable and immersive. It’s the kind of storytelling that just flows.

Meryn is exactly the kind of protagonist I love. She has grit, rage, and absolutely no time for anyone’s nonsense. The world is raw and a little wild, with one of the most fascinating takes on bonded magic I’ve read. The casual, unfiltered culture of the bonded was shockingly entertaining in all the best ways.

The twists were satisfying. Some I saw coming, and some I didn’t, but they all landed. The book sets up the rest of the series so well, and I already need book two.

If you like morally murky dynamics, blood-soaked action, and stubborn heroines with something to prove, pick this up immediately.
