This is the type of magical world I can get behind getting lost in.
Send me to an island where a coven of witches has ruled for generations, and the looming threat of watchful ravens are the least terrifying things waiting behind around every corner.
Birdie Rhodes finds herself at the center of a magical mystery on Burr Island when she goes to work as a research assistant and tea shop girl for the summer.
She doesn't do much of either of those jobs and instead winds up dealing with a wraith, a coven of witches, and several hundreds of years' worth of drama, history, and secrets.
It's freaking delicious.
This book is full of religious trauma, dysfunctional relationships, sexual tension, witty banter, secrets upon secrets, and a cat-who-is-not-a-cat-but-who-is-secretly my-favorite-part-of-the-book.
The book may be called Devour Me but it was I who did the devouring.
