The continuing story of Auri and Cal just keeps getting better with each book.
As tension ramps up off the track between the racers and the establishment at the FIA, the relationship between Auri and Cal continues to evolve as well. There is laughter, there are tears, there is MIND MELTING spice, and banter that is epic.
Auris character arc is especially poignant in this book as we learn so much more about her fight with various medical issues, infertility, endometriosis, and miscarriages. The emotional toll of those issues along with all of the stress she deals with while being a female in male dominated field has been front and center in the other books of this series but her growth in this one? It's amazing. It can be hard to read, but it's so important and it's so well written.
Cal also shows a lot of growth in this book as he reveals more about his past and doesn't just hide behind his growly, sex symbol mentality.
It's just SO GOOD.
