What if you say yes to a man becoming your roommate and you fake date him to make your crush jealous but end up falling for the roomie you fake date?
This book was an absolute rollercoaster and an amazing one at that!
Fake dating is one of my favourite tropes there is because ofcourse they'll fall in love but because of that it is a small burn and what i love about this small burn? The emotions it takes along, me screaming no when she still ends up with the man she initially had a crush on while the man she fake dated but started to get feelings for was heartbroken!
But what i also love is that they first became friends before they became lovers, that they got to know each other on a friends level first!
The emotions both Declan and Molly had felt so real and they both grew so well with what they felt! I loved reading that in the end Molly realised she should listen to her fathers side of the story and in the end forgave him and understood his side too! I think it was beautiful that Declan finally told Molly about his anxiety with depression that he feared to have the same mental illness as his mother! It made them both realistic to me and how a lot of times romance really goes!
But outside those emotions there was also spice ofcourse and in detail! It wasn't much as it is a slow-burn but when it finally happened, it was written so well!
I really liked this book! It might have a bit of a love triangle in there but it wasn't annoying which i normally hate so much! It is one of my most hated tropes but the author wrote it very well and the slow-burn was so good and well written!
