As with previous books in The Ashen Series, Dawn of the North begins immediately after the events in Kingdom of Claw. The story begins with Saga having been taken to Zagadka and Silla taking up the mantle of Eisa Volsik. Again, the continued lore and worldbuilding is fantastic and truly amazing. What makes this story fun is the continued growth of the characters and their various relationships and interactions with one another. Despite all the traumas each character has, their ability to work together and support one another is a testament to how far they have come since the start.
I love all the third person point of view and I love how Demi weaves it all together. It was also very nice to see and catch-up with the other characters in the series! I am so very curious as to how the rest of the series is going to play out!
