Darkened Promises wraps up the Not Yours Duet. This picked up right where the first book left off. The book tackles heavy and dark topics, so I advise looking at the trigger warnings. The book began powerfully, but I thought the remainder of it felt slow. They managed to save Rosy early, which made the rest of the book seem repetitive. This book was not for me, but I’d still recommend it to readers who love why choose books?
