Feast of the Fallen is the third book in Lydia Michaels’ Villains of Kassel series and a dark, twisted retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Women are offered one million dollars to enter a gilded labyrinth, where the world’s wealthiest men hunt them until sunrise. If they’re caught, the prize doubles—but the game quickly becomes far more dangerous than promised.
Jack Thorne is the mysterious host watching everything from the shadows. He might appear to be a savior when he finally enters the game, but Jack has his own dark agenda. He is possessive, morally gray, dangerous, and driven by revenge.
The tension never lets up! I loved the hunter-and-prey element, the forced proximity, and Jack’s touch-her-and-die energy. Beneath the suspense and scorching chemistry is a deeper story about power, privilege, survival, and the monsters who believe their wealth places them above the rules.
My favorite quote:
“They call it a game. But games have rules, and mine were written in blood.”
This was intense, emotional, suspenseful, and completely addictive. Lydia Michaels continues to deliver the wonderfully twisted villains I have come to expect from this series.
Please check the trigger warnings because this is a very dark romance with difficult and explicit content.
