My Thoughts:
This was a dark mafia romance with a twist - amnesia mixed with a long lost love.
Isa (FMC) is a woman who believed her life would be spent alongside her Father, until fate determines she must marry to unite two Mafia families. Tragedy has taken her mother and brother...and left her with amnesia specifically towards her only love. Amnesia she wasn’t aware of, and doesn’t even believe she has.
Elio (MMC) is long thought to be dead. A twin who was essentially thrown away, slowly returning to the world known only as the Reaper. Dark, mysterious and deadly, he has found himself suddenly with a weakness...his obsession.
Did I mention Elio is the twin brother of Isa’s best friend? Chaos ensues. Despite it all Isa can tell something isn’t the same with D’Angelo. When she is kidnapped from her wedding day to the absolute idiot she was told to marry her past comes crashing to the forefront.
Everything after is a mix of tension, passion, possessiveness, incredulity and essentially.... love. You have to check this out to see all of the twists and turns that ensue. What a fun twist on the Princess Bride.
