Mad Love was dark, obsessive, messy and completely unhinged. I loved it!
Raven is dangerous, sarcastic, possessive and definitely morally gray. She has made some terrible choices but there is also so much trauma and vulnerability hidden beneath the version of herself she shows everyone. The dual point of view made it interesting to see how differently Raven and Amara understood their growing connection, especially as the professional boundaries between them slowly began to disappear.
And those two together were hot! Raven and Amara had so much chemistry and I really enjoyed the dominant and submissive dynamic between them. Their relationship is forbidden and extremely complicated, especially because Amara is Raven’s therapist but I couldn’t look away.
I also loved Raven’s friendship with Lucas. Their banter brought some much needed humor to the darker story, while their quieter conversations showed a softer side of Raven that she tried very hard to hide. Lucas accepted her without constantly judging her or demanding explanations and I enjoyed watching that friendship develop.
And that ending? Completely cruel! I really hate cliffhangers and this one left me with so many questions. I really hope there will be another book because I need answers!
