Forbidden Desire by Ashleigh Hawke was a hit for me. I read this book in one sitting, it was that good. This book follows Nico and Cade, two brothers with some serious drama between them. They're struggling with a ton of trauma and anger. At first, they're enemies, but when one brother wants to date, the other gets possessive, leading to a messy sexual relationship. The book explores their trauma and the deepening of their bond. I loved Cade and Nico. The side characters were great as well.. The story was dark, but it also contained a lot of humor. This was one of my favorite books I read this year.
