Oath of Ruin by Kaley Kae is a dark, addictive romantasy with political intrigue, magic, enemies-to-lovers tension, and a heroine who grows sharper with every chapter.
Raelys begins as a sheltered princess trapped by her father’s ambitions, but she does not stay caged. I loved watching her learn how to survive through strategy, secrets, and deception. Her bargain with Wrath, the enemy king, brings forced proximity, danger, and a magical bond that makes their connection even more intense.
This was a great mix of court politics, slow-burn romance, unique magic, morally gray characters, and high-stakes betrayal. That cliffhanger left me ready for book two.
