Rookie Moves is the first book in The Rookie Diaries series.. This is a story about teammates who become lovers. Colby and Tyler are the central characters in this book.. Colby has been known for his excellent hockey skills since he was a child. He is inexperienced and having difficulty handling the spotlight. Tyler is the teammate who constantly supports Colby. He's on board to help Colby gain some experience.
I really loved this book. Colby and Tyler were absolutely adorable. Tyler was really kind and patient with Colby. What began as a friends with benefits thing turned into something really special. My fave moment was Tyler taking Colby to Boston so he could just relax and forget about the stress. I also found it very touching when Tyler performed songs dedicated to Colby. When he sang Iris during the open mic, I couldn't help but tear up.
This was an excellent read. The way the characters were portrayed was excellent and really brought the story to life. It was low angst and sweet. The story of Colby and Tyler's relationship was a beautiful read.
This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys MM sports romance.
