Cruel Savior is the first book in the Ruthless Arrangements series by Lilith Vincent and the story is fast-paced and with the amount of urgency that befits a mafia romance and an arranged marriage.
Adora Montoni is the reluctant mafia princess trying to runaway and hide from her ruthless father who has secured a match for her to Vincenzo Vici, an assassin from a rival family. When she stumbles on a handsome stranger being tortured in a laundromat in the middle of the night her plans and her life take a very different turn.
Cruel Savior is wow, wow, wow! I just sat and finished the entire story in one sitting. I’ve been itching for a darker romance and while it does have those elements, the relationship between Adora and Vincenzo is not like that. Despite the roughness and violence that surround them, there’s still a fluffy vibe about them and I really enjoyed their story. That being said, it still has the things one would expect in a mafia romance so make sure you check trigger/content warnings!
