I am such a huge JP Bird fan after both of the books in her Suddenly Psychic series. This second, interconnected standalone, was such a cozy fun read. I am in love with all of the characters and her writing style as well!
In this edition with all things weird with Amelia (Ami), the FMC, we get to dabble further into her new psychic powers. She gets possessed by a woman's spirit who has been gone for some time now and hilarity ensues. I love the warring within Amelia as she tries to sort this mystery out. As usual, in true JP Bird style, I didn't want to stop reading once I had started. I needed to know what was going to be the twist this time...(no spoilers!)
I think if someone went into this read expecting a true thriller they may be surprised. This entire genre is meant to be a cozy version of mystery/thriller (in my opinion). It is something that could work for a new to thriller reads, a younger adult, someone needing a mental break after a heavy read, or someone who just loves cozy fantasy/mystery. I think JP Bird's writing is a well needed addition to the book universe!
