This short story was a perfect nighttime read after I put my kids to bed! I finished it in about 2.5 hours; I just couldn't put it down.
Corynne has a murky background we never really get to go into (until the end, technically). We get to know whe is a scholarly astronomer, and that she wants to find a myth to prove her worth to the world of men.
Silas's background is also widely unknown until the end, with a curse hanging over his and his crews heads that he can't remember how it had come about.
With this slow-burn turned centuries old fire, it really kept me guessing. The banter, the begrudging yearn, all of it was perfectly paced and made this an easy read.
As with the rest of the series so far, would definitely recommend taking an afternoon to read this.
