Thank you to Elizabeth O’Roark and Valentine PR for the gifted copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.
Oh, how I was absolutely gripped by this one! Right from the first page.
Grace’s family has just moved to town from their strict/sheltered religious community, and to say she hasn’t been accepted at her new school would be an understatement. She just has to make it through the year, so she can go on her 2 year mission, and find herself a husband. But then, Ford (and the world ) change everything for her.
I just loved this coming of age story so much. The perfect amount of angst: from school drama, family drama, Ford drama. I couldn’t put it down.
I was so in on this star crossed lovers story, as they’re thrown together against their own wishes. But once they get to know one another, they discover they just want to know more.
The perfect slow burn from enemies to friends to lovers; it was equal parts sweet and angsty, and I couldn’t put it down.
[Just a heads up, there’s a lot to do with Grace’s family that was pretty unsettling (so do check TWs because some things get quite dark.)]
Audiobook notes: DUET Narration with Samantha Brentmoor and Stephen Dexter and I just ate. it. UP! 🙌 They were both amazing the whole way through (unsurprisingly) and, look, I binged it all in a day! 🫶
