I love this series. The cosiness, the scrappy but devoted family, the village connections.
Fiona Leitch's books never fail to hit the mark. Just reading this has me downloading the entire series to re-read.
The Cornish Honeymoon Murder carried the ongoing theme and qualities.
Our main characters Jodie and Nathan are set to finally get away to that luxury, remote Cornish island resort for their honeymoon. And what better way to spend it, than with your mum, daughter, and floof-ball dog.
Except, this is a working honeymoon for our lead duo, as they have been hired by the owner to investigate sabotages that have been plaguing them. Then, a storm hits, stranding everyone, and a body is found.
This book gave me some good 'ole Agatha Christie vibes, and I kept expecting them to bump into the esteemed Hercule lol. So now, Jodie and Nathan must turn their skills toward identifying the killer, before someone else falls foul.
From start to finish, I thoroughly e joyed this book (not that I had a single doubt I would). I'm awarding 4.5 ⭐️'s purely because the middle of the book had me a little off-kilter, for a short time.
I would like to thank Fiona Leitch, Harper Collins UK, and Netgalley for allowing me to read an early copy of The Cornish Honeymoon Murder. All views and opinions are my own.
