Disenchanted is a fun, cosy and slightly spooky read that feels perfect for the approaching autumn months.
I loved the characters in this one. Even the side characters have their own quirks and personalities, which really brought that small-town community feeling to life.
Lucy Jane Wood's writing was another highlight for me — quirky, engaging and so easy to get lost in. While the plot itself is fairly straightforward, there are plenty of moving parts, with a little mystery and romantic tension sprinkled throughout.
The pacing did slow around the halfway point and felt a little stuck at times, but thankfully it soon found its footing again.
If you're looking for something cosy and witchy to curl up with as the nights start drawing in, add this one to your autumn TBR.
A solid four-star read — and I'm already looking forward to seeing what Lucy writes next!
