Book: Savage Vow by Ellie Pond

I love a fake dating story and this kept me engaged. Emily may be choosing the path of least resistance when it comes to the marriage but she's definitely putting Thayer through his paces. I did start to feel a little sorry for him though; he has clearly always cared about Emily and I can't wait for her to find out. My favourite MMC is a toss up between Oliver (loved the use of the secret passages) and Ryder just now but I think Thayer is going to win me over!

This definitely felt more like a continuation rather than a spin off and I did get a little lost at trying to figure out who was who as there is quite a bit of exposition. There are a couple of moments too like Ryder and Emily's (I think) first kiss in the book which happens from a distance via Anders POV, or Anders and Emily having a pre-existing relationship which made me feel like perhaps these had already been established in the previous series; Ryder was so nervous before hand that I was a little gutted that scene wasn't from his POV as I would have loved to have seen him make his move. I have already added the series before this to my TBR though while I wait for book two as I am really intrigued as to what happened on the raft!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
