I am not usually a Rom-Com girlie, but this book grabbed me almost immediately with the laughs. Holly's personality with organizing, clipboards, lists and cocoa? This is me all the time lol. Blood and Bells is a sweet and charming holiday paranormal rom-com with a dash of chaos and a sprinkle of a sweet romance! Nick and Ronan were my favorite characters, but Crinkshaw caught me off guard, that adorable ghoul!
When the towns Christmas tree goes missing, Holly (the holiday gala coordinator) begins to panic and chaos ensues. She is under so much pressure to live up to her Mom's legacy as town planner extraordinaire and she can't afford any mishaps. Fate has other plans and now she has to find the tree to save Willow Creek's Christmas Gala. Enter the handsome, charming and totally smug Vampire coven leader, Niklaus Draven. He wants nothing more than to be a thorn in Holly's side, but somehow he ends up agreeing to help Holly find this tree, much to his dismay. The adventures that these two go on will crack you up and having you wondering what in the world just happened. As they spend more time together emotions start to shift. Also, for the record can I just say there is a Gingerbread Dragon...need I say more?
If you love a fun, cozy small town Christmas romance with some paranormal touches then you will devour this holiday story. You get reluctant allies, Christmas chaos, found family elements, rogue elves, and so much more. Grab your cozy blanket, hot cocoa and snuggle up in front of the fireplace or (YouTube fireplace...this is what I do) and get ready for some giggles and smiles that will have your soul feeling refreshed. The one liners in this book are bangers!
