Jasmine meets Matthew when she bumps into him and spills coffee all over him, an awkward encounter made even moreso when she shows up to her new consulting gig to find he's her new boss. Their attraction is undeniable from the start but he falls hard and fast, she's a little more cautious at first.
The story weaves in other characters from the Athelwood series effortlessly, they are all charming and the amazing sort of friends you would love to have but are rare to find. I'm a sucker for an Australian setting and Athelwood honestly sounds so lovely I wouldn't mind moving there myself.
She finds out Matt is a pleasure dom and although Jas is quite inexperienced, she is willing and eager. Matt was very gentle and careful about not pushing, but when a safe word was confirmed he definitely brought the spice up about ten notches 🥵
Matt stands up for Jas, supports her, fits right in with her friends, he really does an amazing job of being the best boyfriend which he very much wanted to be for her. It's so refreshing to not have some big falling out or a dramatic third act breakup, it was a genuinely lovely romance with two people communicating openly and honestly. Perhaps a little bromance too as the boys really took to him right away and didn't hesitate in adding him to the group chat.
There is a surprise pregnancy towards the end but it does not create any drama or tension.
