๐Ÿ“Cliff Notes Review-
A MIXED BAG! I loved the humour, fiery FMC, paranormal elements and the underlying message about accepting yourself for who you are. Unfortunately, this book was FAR too long! Endless descriptions, unnecessary scenes and conveniently resolved problems completely destroyed the pacing. I frequently skimmed entire pages and struggled to stay invested in the characters. However, the occasional unanswered mystery kept creeping back into my thoughts, so I wasnโ€™t entirely ready to abandon the series. An inconsistent 3โญ๏ธ read that needed some serious editing!

๐Ÿ˜ฅ ๐•Ž๐•™๐•ช ๐•Ÿ๐•  ๐•—๐•š๐•ง๐•– ๐•ค๐•ฅ๐•’๐•ฃ๐•ค?
TOO MUCH WAFFLE! Just like Book One, the writing style took some getting used to. Unnecessary descriptions and scenes repeatedly interrupted the momentum. Weโ€™d finally get some drama or tension, only to be sidetracked by the weather, umbrellas or an irrelevant hospital scene. I ended up skimming entire chapters!

CONVENIENT PLOTTING! Problems appeared whenever the story needed another obstacle, only to be resolved far too easily. Major revelations were sometimes brushed aside, while new complications seemed to materialise simply to keep the book going. It felt contrived rather than naturally developed.

INCONSISTENCIES! Yvaine supposedly has such a demanding career that she needs to schedule time to relax, yet somehow manages lengthy trips to Scotland and potentially Italy? Her professional commitments seemed to matter only when convenient for the plot.

TOO MANY CHARACTERS! Two families, friendship groups, sports teams, roommates and countless relationships, all with multiple nicknames! By the final chapters, I was having to remind myself who everyone was.

The book had enough material for a much tighter, more enjoyable story. Unfortunately, the unnecessary padding made it difficult to care about what happened next.

I enjoyed the mixture of college sports, paranormal lore, family drama and romantic relationships. The rivalry between the teams was particularly entertaining, and the banter provided some genuinely funny moments.

I also appreciated having several interconnected storylines rather than focusing exclusively on the main couple, although this worked better in Book One. Here, too many subplots felt disconnected from the main story or added very little.

The differences between werewolves and lycans were interesting, and Iโ€™d love to learn more about their history. However, Iโ€™m struggling to understand why Italy needs to be the next destination. At the moment, it feels like another unusual detour rather than a natural progression.

The occasional mysteries were what kept me curious. A hinted secret, an unfinished conversation or a new revelation would pop back into my mind when I least expected it.
Unfortunately, those little questions werenโ€™t enough to maintain my attention throughout 440 pages.

Yvaine: I LOVE HER FIERY SIDE! Her anger towards Logan and the moments when she finally snapped at him were some of my favourites. Sheโ€™s intelligent and capable, although I occasionally found her far too willing to overlook uncomfortable truths or questionable behaviour.

Logan: A COMPLICATED MMC! I appreciated his journey towards accepting himself and confronting his past, but his secrecy, immaturity and tendency to rely on physical intimacy rather than proper communication became frustrating. His trauma explains some of his behaviour, but doesnโ€™t automatically excuse it.

Lucien: The paranormal side of Loganโ€™s character provided some of my favourite moments, particularly when he sought Yvaine out in his shifted form and they spent time together in the woods. ADORABLE! ๐Ÿบ Although some of his behaviour could also feel surprisingly childish.

Their relationship: I appreciated that the mate bond didnโ€™t magically fix their problems. They still needed to rebuild trust, communicate and learn to accept themselves and each other. The relationship development was meaningful, even if some of the conflicts felt unnecessarily prolonged.

The supporting cast: Some entertaining personalities and interesting potential relationships, but the sheer number of characters and nicknames became overwhelming. I would have preferred fewer characters with more meaningful development.

My favourite thing about this book was its message about learning to love yourself, embracing your differences and accepting who you are. That was genuinely lovely.
Unfortunately, the excessive filler, inconsistent pacing and convenient plot developments meant I never became fully invested.

Iโ€™d like answers to the remaining mysteries, but if Book Three takes too long and Iโ€™ve forgotten everything, I wonโ€™t be rereading the first two just to catch up.
There were some wonderful moments, but not enough to make the overall experience particularly memorable. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

I managed to finish it but it was rubbish. I won't keep a physical copy and won't recommend it, but it's a shame as the plot could have made a good book in another author's hands

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธ.5
It was OK. I wish I didn't start this one as it didn't do it for me as I struggled to read it. It had an interesting premise that fell flat but I had to see what happened in the end.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
I don't regret reading it, and I will read the next one, but this one did have a few flaws. [These could be repetitive writing, gaps or plot holes, better character growth or world building, areas needing more detail]
Generally, the book lacked depth and became confusing. The plot resonated with me even though it annoyed me on the whole.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ.5
I'm glad I read it. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to the right people, but I wanted more! Sadly, it's easily forgettable with a few issues I just couldn't overlook/get past.

Good book! I loved it, but... I needed more! I really did enjoy it, but it had a few parts that needed more detail or added history/background or lore. But that's because the story or characters were memorable, and the plot was strong with brilliant twists. I would re-read if I needed to catch up for the next book and would recommend.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ.5
Great book! I truly wish the story had been thought about more, or the author had been given more time as this book is so close to brilliance! I will likely read again and will definitely be recommending it to all!

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ
WOW! Absolutely amazing book! Well written with great characters and a plot so memorable that it will stay with me. I will definitely read this again, I will be recommending it and sharing it with the whole world! Also- I NEED A PHYSICAL COPY!

This is my God level tier. The book must be perfectly memorable. Even after reading 50+ more books, I will remember character names and emotions along with the plot. If there is a special edition, then I need to own it! If there is a conversation on books- I'm talking about this!

SPICE SCALE:
๐ŸŒถ๏ธโ€“ segsual language and a little on-page action / fade to black

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธโ€“ a lot of segsual language and some on-page open door action, may be occurring a couple of times

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธโ€“ a lot of explicit action and dirty talk, occurring frequently with 2/3 lurvers

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ โ€“ super graphic and explicit, occurring 4 or more times, can be more grey and taboo themed.

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ โ€“ Kinks and Fet!shism, explicit and super graphic. It is likely to be tushy play, toys, playrooms, and more dark / taboo fantasies and realities.
