Book: Can You See Me by D.M. Midnight

This is a great read. Tragedy, love, and heartbreak all in the first few chapters.
We first meet Atlas and Maizyn, she comes to him angry because she found a tracker on her phone, she storms out and she goes missing. Gone poof
Next we meet Emily, she's just your average girl. Yet no one seems to notice her, like she's invisible. She woke up in the hospital with no memory of the past year. Her boyfriend, Trevor, tells he was picking her up from a surgery and the doctors said memory loss can sometimes happen with anesthesia. She has two safe spaces, the bakery where she works and the bookstore next door to it, which they let her have a little nook in. She questions her relationship with Trevor, gives her a bad feeling, and he won't answer her questions or gaslights her about her past.
On the way to work Emily collides with Atlas as he's coming out of the bookstore, he thinks she looks like Maizyn. She panics and hurries off to work, Atlas confronts her about Maizyn, but she's confused because she doesn't know him or who Maizyn is. She goes home after work and keeps thinking of him, wondering if he might have the answers she is seeking about the past year. So let the stalking begin, she wishes for a "Stalking for Dummies" book more than once. Atlas keeps having this feeling that he's being watched, so he enlists the aid of his partner at work, Gavin, to help find out who it is. He catches her and they start to make it a game now. They go on a date, then another time she wants him to chase her through the woods with a mask on. She tries to get away from Trevor, but he's on the lease of the apartment.
Atlas isn't the only one being stalked though. Trevor is stalking Emily, he's the reason she left and changed her name. He's the reason Atlas put the tracker on her and he's the reason she remembers nothing of the last year. As Emily tries to get free of him, he just clings tighter and tighter. Emily and Atlas get closer and he asks her to move in to help her get free of Trevor. He wonders if she'll hate him when she gets her memory back, because of the secrets he's been keeping.
Then there is some kidnapping and memories returning, questions asked and answered. And some other stuff thrown in. All in all it's a great book, I'd give it a 4.5 if i could. Would very much recommend.
