By the Flames of Her Fury is the final novel in the Veridian Empire series. The events here pick up right where it was left off in From the Silence of the Shadows. Vera may be freed but she is not free from all the trauma that she has gone through. Her brother, Nox, a dragon shifter, sends Everett, the man who was in the cell beside her, who was also tortured and experimented on, to bring her home. The dual-pov and dual timeline works so well in this story and somehow makes the plot much more immersive as readers experience the past and the present together with the characters.
I love how everything comes together and I am so sad to say goodbye to the series. I loved every moment with each character as they went through all their trials and tribulations. V.B. Lacey has done amazing work creating this universe and sharing it with the world. If you have been looking for a completed series of standalones, then you do not want to miss this!
Thank you so much to V.B. Lacey for the gifted ARC! All opinions are my own.
