Tara and James have a complicated history - they were high school sweethearts. Fast forward to today, she HATES him, which is awkward considering that they are coworkers. James and Tara end up revisiting history when he ropes her in to being his +1 to his sister’s wedding, and all the events leading up to it. A few fake dates won’t hurt anyone… right?
Sydney Taylor did it again. Butterflies is the third book in her Evolution of Us series, and she did not disappoint. Butterflies serves us a taste of romance and passion, laced with danger and suspense. The plot kept me on the edge of my favorite reading chair the whole time with its many twists and turns.
The push and pull between the dual POV narratives, makes the “enemies to lovers” tension almost tangible. The chemistry is thick with James and Tara, and their banter had me in a chokehold.
