Book: Bound by the Sky by Megan G. Elisabeth

This book is everything.
Firstly, it starts with this perfect dedication:
"For anyone who has ever been called too sensitive, too quiet, or too nice.
It requires resilience to have a soft heart in an apathetic world.
It takes wisdom to listen more than you speak.
And kindness requires radical courage.
These are not your weaknesses. They are your greatest strengths - leverage them."
WAY TO CALL ME OUT THERE, MEGAN. (I kid, but for real, way to call me out)
The worldbuilding and prose is INSANE. It was so fully fleshed out, it feels like stepping right into the world, with sky pirates, aether swirling in the atmosphere.
Like this phrase, from PAGE 17 - we're barely into the book at this point, and she spins this beautiful question:
"Did it feel like you could reach out and swirl the sunset with your finger, or capture a star?"
I identify so much with Amaya, the way she connects with music as a way to process her feelings, make sense of the world around her, a way to express her deepest fears in a way only she understands.
The slow burn romance is EVERYTHING! The banter? Flawless. The realistic nature of the building of a trusting relationship? Absolutely incredible.
I could babble on about this book and how much I'll treasure it forever and can't wait until the next book in the series comes out, but I fear you might get sick of me going on and on about it, so I'll just tell you one more thing: READ THIS BOOK, I AM BEGGING YOU. (Then come talk to me about it so we can scream about it together, thank you.)
