Book: The Wings That Bind by Briar Boleyn

The Wings That Bind is very relationship-driven—not just for our OG couple, but for several other couples in the story as well. I really enjoyed seeing how far [Medra and Blake have come; their relationship has truly flourished and it was nice to see them in such a strong place.

"Eyes of red or eyes of gray, body whole or body broken—this man was mine . I was never letting him go. No matter what happened." (hide spoiler) ]

This installment leans heavily into the emotional side of the story, with lots of character development, shifting loyalties, and tensions building between different groups. What I appreciated most was that even though the book focuses so much on the relationships, the plot never feels stalled. Briar does a great job deepening the character dynamics while still pushing the story forward.

This was a GREAT read, but it definitely had me nervous for pretty much everyone by the end. There are hints of redemption arcs starting to take shape, which adds another layer of intrigue and makes you wonder where certain characters will ultimately land.

And that ending…Briar, how could you 😭 The cliffhanger leaves so much up in the air and had me immediately needing the next book.

Thank you Briar Boleyn for gifting me an early copy of this book!
