Book: Blood & Steel by Helen Scheuerer

From the opening chapters, Blood & Steel completely swept me into the world of Thezmarr. It’s equal parts action, prophecy, and emotional growth, and I devoured every minute of it.
Thea is exactly the kind of heroine I love. She’s fierce and stubborn, but not instantly perfect. She has to earn her strength. Watching her fight, train, stumble, and rise alongside the other Shieldbearers was so satisfying. She’s determined, she’s flawed, and she’s everything I want in a fantasy protagonist.
Also: Hawthorne. Broody, guarded, intense. The slow burn with him was chef’s kiss and that scene?
