A Secret in the Garden was a beautifully dark, whimsical, and completely immersive romance. Blackwood Manor felt like a character of its own, filled with shattered glass, tangled vines, whispered secrets, and grief that had been buried for far too long.
I loved Eliza’s determination and the way her work restoring the abandoned conservatory slowly uncovered the mysteries surrounding Jasper and his family. Jasper was brooding, guarded, and impossible not to be intrigued by. The tension between them built perfectly as the manor became stranger, darker, and more dangerous.
Alex Picard and Ian Bedford pushed this story completely over the top for me. Their performances brought so much emotion, atmosphere, and intensity to Eliza and Jasper’s story. The narration made every secret, eerie disturbance, and romantic moment feel incredibly vivid.
This was an unforgettable beginning to The Dark Manor Chronicles, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
