Beautiful Prey is a dark MM romance that introduces us to Jade and Ash. Jade joins the Hunt, a competition that blends Hunger Games with Squid Games. During the competition, he sparks the interest of Ash, a rich man whose family is in charge of the event. As time passes, Ash grows more obsessed while Jade simply aims to survive.
From the very beginning, this book had me hooked. This was such an amazing premise. The characters were all interesting. I really enjoyed the interaction between Jade and Ash. They had excellent back-and-forth banter. Jade's unwillingness to accept Ash's advances irritated me slightly since Jade participated in the competition to help his brother, which Ash could accomplish because he was wealthy. The more I read, the clearer it became why he was so unwilling and didn't surrender easily. The book's side characters were really great, too. Onyx, Jade's brother, was truly a sweetheart. I adored his pure and kind-hearted nature. Ash's cousins were super supportive and pretty hilarious.. This is a must-read. There was loads of action, laughs, spice, and drama. I just couldn't stop reading that book.
