Oh, how I LOVE a good MC romance! There's just something about that fierce brotherhood, the protective alpha men, and the way these dangerous bikers will do absolutely ANYTHING for their women and children that gets me every single time. Add in a second-chance romance? YES, PLEASE! Now throw in an adorable, completely unfiltered four-year-old who might just be our hero's daughter? I'M A GONER! 😂❤️
Axel is the first book in Olivia Cole's Rift Vipers MC series, and it's a fast-paced, spicy, emotional whirlwind that has me ready for Book Two! Years ago, Grace walked away from Axel without an explanation, leaving behind a man who never truly stopped loving her. Now she's back, and she has a four-year-old daughter in tow. Little Katie looks and acts just like her mama, but Axel can't help wondering whether that adorable little nose might actually be his. Grace hasn't returned simply to rekindle an old flame. She's in trouble, her daughter could be in danger, and the one man she believes can protect them is the very man she left behind. Enter the protective alpha biker! 🏍️🔥Of course, the attraction between Axel and Grace never really disappeared. These two still love each other, and their second chance comes with plenty of heat, emotional baggage, and complications.
But can we talk about KATIE?! Because this little girl is an absolute GEM! She's four years old, has absolutely no filter, and somehow manages to turn a motorcycle club full of gruff, intimidating men into pink bow-tying, tiara-wearing protectors who will do just about anything to make her smile. MY HEART! 🥹👑 Seriously, give me all the big, scary bikers who turn into complete teddy bears around children!
Now, was everything perfect? Not quite. There were moments when I wanted to reach right into the book and give Grace a good shake! Miscommunication and questionable decisions play a significant role in the story, and some of her choices had me rolling my eyes. I also had a few questions about the timeline and how certain things came together. For example, with her best friend kidnapped and her daughter's safety hanging in the balance, how exactly did Grace manage to find, rent, and begin setting up a bakery amid all that chaos? And the idea that simply being within Axel's territory would automatically make her safe felt a little too convenient. But you know what? Sometimes you just have to give a little grace to Grace! 😂 This is fiction, after all, and the elements I love most about MC romance were absolutely here. The fierce protectiveness. The brotherhood. The spicy second-chance romance. The undeniable love between Axel and Grace. And, of course, a tiny little girl who has an entire motorcycle club wrapped around her finger!

Axel is a fast-paced, spicy MC romance with plenty of heart, protective alpha energy, and an adorable scene-stealing little girl. Yes, a few plot conveniences and frustrating decisions made me raise an eyebrow, but the romance, found-family vibes, and gruff-bikers-turned-teddy-bears moments more than made up for them. The Rift Vipers have officially caught my attention, and I'm ready to see which biker falls next! 🏍️🔥
