As the daughter of an ambitious merchant, Guinevere’s path has been predetermined: marry into a noble house of the Dwendalian Empire, raise her family’s station, and live quietly as a lordling’s obedient wife. But Guinevere longs for a life unbounded by expectations, for freedom and passion and adventure.
Oh, you have no idea how excited i was to get to read this book! My boyfriend has gotten me into Critical Role and i had Tusk Love in one of my english book boxes and while i was watching The Mighty Nein i found out that Tusk Love is from Critical Role! The way i boosted this book up in my tbr😂
That been said, this book was absolutely amazing! Predictable? Yes! Like your typical romance? Absolutely! But ughh sometimes i really love those kinds of books no matter how predictable they are!
The character Genevieve was absolutely relatable, knew nothing of the world than the romances from her books and ugh the half Orc, excuse me but he is grumpy but slowly falls for her too and shows it in the small sweet ways!? Absolutely amazing!
The world building was top notch, being a fan of Critical Role and knowing the world already is even better! But still the world was described for as much as you needed it to know and not overwhelming!
Overal, absolutely love this book! So great to have a side book thats the favourite book of a character of Critical Role, Thea has done a great job in making Jesters favourite book into an actual book🫶🏼
