Thank you so much to Netgalley for the ALC opportunity.

There were things I really enjoyed in this but it wasn't quite enough to get beyond a three star for me. That was largely due to the pacing as it felt a little repetitive in the middle and there were so many subplots going on but not many actually progressed that far and I seemed to have so many more questions than answers by the end. I liked Fergie as a character and how she was becoming this hybrid of Old Fergie and New Fergie towards the end; I'm interested to see where her development goes next. Angelina Rocca always gives a great performance and completely engaged me. Victor was my favourite of the male leads closely followed by Torsten. Cassius was miles behind (until the kitten in the kitchen); for such an aggressive character the narration felt a little flat for me and I struggled to connect with his character the most out of them all. I'm continuing the series though as I need to see some revenge for that final chapter!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
