This was a fun dark romance novella with a comedy twist. I was not sure what to expect when I went into this book but I am so glad I picked this one up. This was a short book so it was a quick read. I was able to get it done in one sitting. Some parts did seem like maybe they were a tad rushed but I think for me it was ok. I was not handling some of the trigger warnings as well as I thought I would.
I loved that the Charlee the cannibalistic (but only to men and only if they deserve it) female character was such a strong lead and just ridiculous and entertaining. Jack was a burglar who found the wrong apartment to break into that night. Landing himself in quite the predicament of a meet cute kidnapping, sandwiches where the meat does actually have a first name, instant lust and a southern gal who might be considered just a tad bit unhinged. Just a little.
You definitely need to check those trigger warnings before you start though and make sure you aren't squeamish to anything. If not then join me in eating this book up! The chuckles make it all worthwhile.
