📚✨ ARC REVIEW — The Mr & Mrs Mistake by Brighton Walsh ✨📚

Let me tell you… there was no mistake between Lincoln and Willa. This book was swoony, it brought the heat, and it reminded me exactly why Starlight Cove and the Steele brothers continue to unravel me in the best possible way.

The quote that sums it all up: “To our favorite black cat and the golden retriever who finally chased her down. Welcome to the family.”

Willa is the definition of a strong female lead who is stubborn, bold, and carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders because life hasn’t given her much choice. She’s jaded, prickly, and fiercely independent… until the world gets too heavy and the family farm needs saving. And that’s when Lincoln steps in.

Lincoln, who has been quietly waiting for Willa since they were kids. Lincoln, who doesn’t just walk through the door when she cracks it open—he holds it wide for her. Lincoln, who believes in her dreams, shows up again and again, and proves his love with steady devotion.

As someone with eldest‑daughter energy and chronic pain, I felt Willa. Her resilience, her exhaustion, her instinct to handle everything alone. And seeing a curvy heroine with real‑life softness, stretch marks, and strength represented on the page? More of this representation in romance, please. And Lincoln loving her exactly as she is? Perfection.

And the nicknames… oh, the nicknames. Snookums. Snickerdoodle. Buttercup. Pooh Bear. All used just to get a rise out of her. But the ones that stick? Hellcat… and wife.

By book three, the whole Steele crew feels like home. The brothers, their partners, the found family vibes, and of course Mabel—if you know, you know. Starlight Cove is the kind of small town you want to step into and never leave.

Between these pages you’ll find:
🐝Curvy MFC
🐝Brother’s best friend
🐝Black cat × golden retriever
🐝Found family
🐝Small town charm
🐝Chronic pain rep
🐝Marriage of convenience
🐝Slow burn angst + spice
🐝A guaranteed HEA

And one of my favorite lines from Lincoln about Willa:“She just stomped up the porch like a hurricane with hips and goddamn was I ready for this storm.”

I devoured this book just like the first two and didn’t want it to end. Book three of the Steele Brothers of Starlight Cove series drops January 1st. It's the perfect way to start the new year! Add it to your TBR now. And if you haven’t read books 1 & 2 yet, you’ve got a week to catch up (though this can be read as a standalone).
