A delicious magical system, a world that draws you in and makes you want to sit in the middle of the action and just luxuriate in the action, and characters that you love, hate, and love to hate, This Wretched Alchemy is anything but wretched.
Stuck training for a fight she doesn't understand with magic she can't quite control, Revel is not so excited about her task but will do anything for her family.
The Call is a competition for the heirs of the ruling houses and even though she doesn't really count ... she is taking the place of a ruling house member and putting her body on the line for glory, for her family safety, and for her own ego ... or something like that.
With trials and tribulations, with magic and mystery, with characters that will make you swoon and swear, this is a fantastic read that I am already champing at the bit for the sequel because I NEEEEEEDS TO KNOW what happens next.
