⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
Riley Paige proves once again that she’s a master at crafting a romance that hits all the feelings. Harlow and Grayson’s anonymous messaging relationship had me laughing, while their slow-burning real-life connection had me swooning—and, at times, completely heartbroken.
My heart went out to Harlow. After a damaging high school relationship, the world feels overwhelming—noise, light, people, all of it. She spent so long trying to make herself smaller that now she worries she’s too much. It’s only with NumberEleven and Grayson that she truly feels safe.
And Grayson? Grayson is everything. He wears a smile to mask the pressure and lack of control he feels, every mistake on the ice threatening his NHL future. It’s enough to break anyone. LittleTooMuch and Harlow are the only places he finds peace.
I love Harlow and Grayson together. There’s a spark from the moment they lock eyes, but it’s the quiet moments that make their relationship. It’s Grayson grounding Harlow when everything feels like too much, noticing her effort, and wanting to know her—not just his best friend’s little sister. It’s Harlow seeing the man behind the hockey. They don’t heal each other, but they give each other the safety to heal themselves. It’s really beautiful.
I loved the secondary characters just as much. Kai (protective hockey captain brother), Wren (complicated history 👀), chaotic Weston (obsessed), and quiet goalie Asher (you just know he’s going to wreck us). I need all of their stories immediately.
Kiss Me First just solidifies Riley Paige as an auto-read author for me. Absolute perfection.
