I found Pyr to be an interesting read. Alfie, the main character, lives in a time when the space between the haves and the have-nots keeps getting bigger. A man who starts a protest get 25 years in solitary at a prison. There are many banned books, and people have to be afraid that an agent might be undercover and try to trip them up even when they’ve done nothing wrong. It’s a scary thought. Then, Alfie meets Valery, a 60-something college professor, and the story changes from Alfie’s to Valery’s POV. I like stories written in multiple POVs. It gives you different perspectives since not all characters will experience the same things or not view them in the same way.
Pyr: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
