The Girl Who Broke the Dark is the story of a princess who discovers on her 18th birthday that she is then required to break a curse placed on the prince of an adjacent kingdom by an evil sorcerer in order to save both kingdoms. What follows is an epic tale of magic, adventure, treachery, betrayal, loyalty, and growth. The character development was great, and the world building with all the names, landscapes, and animals was thorough and so creative. I loved every minute of this page turner and am looking forward to reading book 2!
