River was another emotional and beautifully written addition to The Seer Chronicles . I really enjoyed returning to this world and learning more about the characters while watching their stories become even more connected.
The combination of historical fiction and supernatural elements continues to make this series feel very different from my usual reads. I especially enjoyed the guardian angels, the mystery surrounding Gregor’s secret purpose and the way real historical events were woven into the story. There are several characters and relationships to follow, but everything slowly comes together as the story progresses.
This book explores love, friendship, sacrifice, revenge and the different ways people search for freedom during an incredibly cruel period in history. Some parts were heartbreaking and difficult to read but there were also moments of hope, courage, and genuine human connection.

River was emotional, thought provoking and filled with characters whose stories stayed with me after I finished reading. I am very glad I continued this series!
