What an amazing story! I knew about women going into the workplace during the war since there weren’t enough men who could do the physically demanding jobs, but I didn’t realize they were working in the timber industry as well. Although, I guess if I stopped long enough to think about it, it would make sense as timber was needed for the war efforts as well as for use in homes. Those ladies are amazing, and I admire them very much!
This story is fictionalized, but I loved it just the same. Friendships were formed, drama came about, accusations of espionage were made, and even a little love story was told. Is there a book 3? I need to know what happened with that! The Lumberjills: Under Suspicion was a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me!
