I loved everything about this story! The rivalry and constant war between North and South, the magical secret golden roots, the politics, the schemes, and the heirs' duties to each castle. The drama and tension were amazing, I couldn't put the book down, even for a minute! It was incredibly addictive!
I truly enjoyed reading both main characters POVs. Yildiz was such a hidden force, it was really easy to love her and root for her. And Dayyan was such a poor lost soul, doing what he must to protect those he loves. Of course he would be the perfect MMC, rough on the outside, a bit tender on the inside, and completely doomed. They were the perfect match!
And the ending was great! I cried a little ❤️🩹
