I really enjoyed this why choose omegaverse rugby romance. At a little over 800 pages, this could have easily felt overwhelming, but instead it gives every relationship the time and development it deserves. This is truly a pack romance in every sense of the word—every member builds meaningful connections with the others, and watching them slowly figure out how they all fit together, emotionally and physically, was incredibly satisfying. I ate it up.
Wren is such a fun FMC. She’s ambitious, independent, and not remotely looking for a pack when the story begins. In fact, she actively resists her growing connections with Theo and Connor because she’s terrified of jeopardizing her future at school. I also appreciated that her storyline extends far beyond heats and attraction, which can sometimes dominate omegaverse romances. Between classes, volunteering at the animal shelter, bonding with her omega friends, and maintaining a close relationship with her sister, Wren feels like a fully realized character outside of the romance.
Theo brings the sexy older “Daddy” energy in the best way. He’s protective, dependable, and naturally slips into the role of caretaker for the pack—moving everyone into his house, preparing Wren’s nest, and making sure everyone feels safe and supported. What I really loved, though, is that despite the age gap, he never talks down to Wren or treats her like she’s incapable. There’s a maturity to him that balances the group dynamic really well.
Connor is pure golden retriever flirtation from the second he meets Wren. This man is gone for her immediately, and I loved how open he is about his feelings—not just for Wren, but for the developing connections within the rest of the pack too. He’s warm, affectionate, and brings so much lightness to the story. And honestly, the Scottish accent? Fatal.
Ace rounds out the pack with the broody, forbidden energy. As Wren’s older brother’s best friend, there are already years of tension and familiarity between them before things truly shift. He’s been orbiting her life forever, but once the scent match happens, all of that buried attraction and protectiveness finally rises to the surface. The slow progression of their relationship worked really well for me.
Overall, this was a super immersive MMFM omegaverse romance with strong relationship development, great pack dynamics, and enough emotional connection to support the massive page count.
