Carousel was such a unique story, and I absolutely loved it. It was so intriguing, and there was so much tension! You didn't know who to trust until the very end, and even then, it wasn't clear.
The blood magic, the ongoing war, the secrets and lost memories, and the whole world-building were extraordinary. And the love triangle... I truly enjoyed reading about Ara and her feelings, her inner struggles, and her confusion. I could relate to her. She was a lovable character who didn't know anything, was kept in the dark until the end, and was trying to do the right thing for herself and her loved ones.
And then there were Cosmer and Drake, two opposite worlds, literally! I loved them both. They weren't the real enemy, and they were both making so many sacrifices. It was so hard to survive.
I can't wait to read the sequel. That ending was crazy!
