Book: Oh No! There's a Dragon in my Bookshop by Ember Holt

This book was a hoot! Caitlin is a relatable heroine trying to find her place in life after tanking her dead end career and making a complete 180-degree turn to open a bookstore in a small town. Which, let's be honest, is kind of every book girlie's dream. I know I would not hate having a bookshop to work in everyday.
I really enjoyed the way the story unfolded with how she finds her dragon, and he slowly gets stronger. The relationship between Bastian and Cait is one of my favorites. They go from adversaries to roommates to friends and somewhat co-workers to fated mates.
Oscar is a treat of a familiar, and he adds color commentary throughout- I absolutely loved getting to learn more about him as well.
I love the world built in this book, and the way it almost mixes magic and aliens and other dimensions. I am going to have to go back and read the other two books in the series, because I enjoyed the universe in this book so much.
There is tension and chemistry from the start, but not a ton of spice. When it does get spicy though- it will melt your Kindle. Fancy peen, and vibrating appendages and flavors galore.
Finally, I loved the way Cait's condition of PMDD is handled. I am familiar with a lot of the symptoms she has, and while I don't have the exact same condition, I really felt what she was going through, and how she has been getting by in the past. Bastian handles taking care of her in a very sweet way, and it made me swoon hard.
This is an excellent paranormal romance for those who can relate to a heroine with chronic conditions starting her life over and getting to experience magic and true care for the first time.
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
