Book: The Crowned by Sk Horton

I loved the conclusion to this trilogy. From about halfway on I couldn't figure out how the author was going to end the book. The ending was surprising in ways you may not see coming.
As with the other two books, the story is told from the POV of three of the main characters. I loved having the POV from multiple characters, I felt the different perspectives helped the story a lot.
I really enjoyed the main character arc's throughout the story. I feel like they each had strengths they didn't realize they had all along. In the three books they learned what was really important. There was a prophecy involved but they didn't know how it was to be fulfilled. Sides needed to be chosen and loyalties were tested.
The worldbuilding in the story is easy to follow and the magic system was interesting. The portal fantasy was an interesting mix of our world along with the world with magic. I recommend this series and thoroughly enjoyed it!
